The Unedited Truth About Why Your Dreams Aren’t Coming True.

Our time here is fleeting. It’s shorter and scarcer than we realise.

We say: “I’ll do it tomorrow. I’ll start next week. Maybe next year would be the best time to do that.”Each year gives us 365 days, 52 weeks, and just 12 months. We get 24 hours each day. 24 hours that you will never see again. No refunds, no do-overs, no make-ups. Most of us wish away our entire week, waiting for the arrival of 5pm Fridays. Then like a flash, it’s Sunday, and we’ve got that MONDAY feeling – ‘the moment when Sunday stops feeling like a Sunday and the anxiety of Monday kicks in.’

The thought alone of your Monday makes you anxious. So what are you going to do about that? Accept it as the norm? Continue to wish away 5 of your precious 7 days each week? Stay unhappy, bored, and miserable with the life that you have created for yourself?

Take a closer look at the ones who are seemingly living the dream. The dream that you’ve dreamt you could wake up to more than a hundred times over. What you don’t know about them is they once stood in your shoes. Yes, they did. The only difference is, they decided they weren’t content, they were going to make a change, and they were going to walk down a different road. A road most people are too afraid of, and far too comfortable where they currently are, to venture down.

They didn’t get lucky. And they certainly didn’t wait around for anybody else to hand them their dreams. They stood up. They took action. They worked extremely hard, and then a little bit harder. They paid no attention to anyone who said they couldn’t do it, and turned every single one of those negative comments into extra motivation to succeed. Every single day, they gratefully received their 24 hours, treated it as if it might be their last, jam-packed that motherfucker with greatness, and GOT SHIT DONE.

Whatever keeps you awake at night, thinking, wondering, and wishing; whatever gets you excited like a kid on Christmas Eve, whatever truly speaks to your heart. That is what you were put on this earth to do, and I urge you to not wait a moment longer to do it.
So many people are scared of failing, they don’t even bother to try. They don’t believe their dreams are worth giving it a shot, so they file them away at the back of their mind, and guess what? They fail by default. They fail because they never tried.

Today has already begun, and as you read this it might be drawing to a close. That will be one more day of your life gone. One more day you cannot live again. The question you need to ask yourself is, “If I knew this was going to be my final day on earth, what would I do?”Now go do it.

The trouble is, we think we have all the time in the world to start living the life of our dreams. But we don’t

The process of change.

Have you ever live with someone that is pregnant for the very first time before?, if you havel, you’ll have a glimpse of what change is. Living with my pregnant sister for a couple of weeks makes me to understand and realize how painful the process of change is. You know when a young lady got pregnant for the very first time she might finds it so hard to cope with the physiological, psychological, and physical changes that goes along with pregnancy. Yes, the different phases of changes she’s going to pass through for nine months might be painful but at the end it really worth passing through, because the joy of the new born baby is going to subdue those pains.

The concept above make me to realize why people refuses to change, it makes me to realize why people prefer to stick to their usual way of life, it makes me to realize why some people stick to the same Creed that has gotten them nowhere for the past five years.

The main reason for this type of adamant attitude is because we humans, we are always scared of the process of change. We all want a better, radiant, meaningful life and at the same time we don’t want to pass through the painful process of change that goes along with having a better life.

Students alway dream of acing their classes and at the same time they don’t want to break their usual routine, they can’t cope with changing from reading for 30min to 4hours per day. They can’t just immerse there self in the process of change.

A business man will always dream of having six figure numbers in his account and at the same time he doesn’t want to go through the process of change, he is so afraid of losing, he is so scared that he might loss all his investment if he trys to change something from his usual strategy of business.

As the popular platitude says “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result”. So friends break something away, add something new, immerse yourself into the process of change and you’ll see a different result.

The process of change might be painful but the end thereof is gainful”… Erythrox

You Have The Power To Change Your Life. Just Do It.

Hold me down for a while, for I shall soon rise like the sun and soar like an eagle.
We all have our own personal struggles. Whether that be issues with familial relations, romantic relations, education, mental illness etc. These things wear us down. They tear us apart and turn us inside out. However, we should not allow them to hold us down because they all help us learn and grow into better individuals. I tell people all the time: If you don’t like where you are in life, take control! You have more control than you think. You are so powerful and amazing, my dear and you have no idea. You are naïve, my dear but you are great!
If you dislike the relationship you’re in, let that person know and free yourself. Then pursue the person you truly want to be with.
If you dislike your job, quit and find another one. Quit doing that boring 9-5 and embark on that journey to helping others in the medical field because it satisfies your secret desire to serve the community. Pursue that job you’ve always thought about.
If you dislike where you live, move! Move to jebba and enjoy the view of river that flows on for miles. If you dislike your major, change it. And then change it again and again! Go from majoring in Chemistry to majoring in Philosophy because you realize that the formation of theoretical principles stimulates your mind in unimaginable ways. That the critical thinking skills you once used in Chem can be better utilized in your new degree plan. Do and get involved in things that inspire you to be a better person. Things that are going to bring you to that better you. That awesome person.
Start with YOU, my dear. Because in order for you to help others rise–you must first, rise. Take care of yourself. Do not neglect your needs and wants. Focus on yourself and then focus on others. If you do not take heed, my dear, you will unfortunately suffer the consequences. You cannot help others grow if you yourself have not grown. You cannot help others if you have not helped yourself.
Flourish, my dear. For you were meant to do great things and explore. You don’t have to change the world, but change yourself! Be open to change because change is a blessing. Without change, life would be a constant. Life would be meaningless. Change develops you, it helps you grow. Change will evolve you, transform you.
It’s okay to feel weak, my dear.
It’s okay to feel sad, my dear.
It’s okay to feel annoyed, unaccomplished, depressed. It’s okay to FEEL, my dear. You are human and you are beautiful. Embrace your humanistic qualities because this is you and you have no obligation to justify why you feel the way you do. Feels these things. Let these emotions fill you up so you can recycle them into the strength you need to persevere; the strength you will utilize to be better. Take note, my dear. Keep learning because you will remember these experiences. These experiences will not define you, however they will guide you. They will bring you closer to that better you.
It’s okay to be down, but don’t stay down for too long. For you will soon rise like the sun and soar like an eagle.
